Anthropomorphism—the attribution of human qualities to non-human objects—is believed be a natural tendency which may serve several adaptive functions. One possibility is that anthropomorphism provides an egocentric heuristic by we can understand the world. It also strategy for reducing our subjective sense loneliness. However, not all humans exhibit same propensity anthropomorphise. Recent findings suggest autistic individuals more likely anthropomorphise than non-autistic individuals. In Study 1, conducted large-scale survey traits and dispositional in general population ( n = 870).
